Anyone planning on attending? I can't go to Wiscon this year myself, but I'd be interested in hearing about what gets discussed. Panel description1 behind the cut;

Let's talk about the late, lamented MMORPG Glitch and other online multiplayer games. How can game mechanics (and moderation, etc) inspire and encourage cooperative behavior and a sense of community, encouraging players to be good citizens of the game world? How does the nature of the game and its goals influence who plays and how they behave? Are there games or game plots and mechanics that inspire altruism? Kindness? Selfishness? Cruelty? Finally, let's celebrate the wacky, whimsical world of Glitch.1

Date: 2013-05-26 04:36 am (UTC)Lilith told Stoot about the panel and he sent his love to all of us. (Awwwwwwwwwww. Sob.)
There will be a linkfarm posted eventually by, umm, somebody. (I was also on the panel, though j00j was coordinating and is perhaps best-organized.)
Next year there should be a Glitch-themed party. (Anyone who knows dink-all about hosting big convention parties?)

Date: 2013-05-26 09:56 am (UTC)Next year I hope to have the time & finances to attend Wiscon myself, and if so would be happy to help organize aforesaid party... *plots*
(I have no direct experience with 'big convention parties' per se, but I used to live at - and sometimes cook for! - a 30+ person co-op that hosted incredible parties, and I suspect much of that would be easily transferable with a more convention-experienced partner in crime to help. Certain aspects of Glitchwidth were very Co-op, heh.)
