Glitchwidth: Vendors Wanted For Stocking Pub

Since the point of placing drinks & food in storage display boxes on the Pub floor of Glitchwidth (new Dreamwidth restaurant located on jjhunter's street) is to provide them at lower-than-auction cost to DW denizens & visitors (but just high enough to discourage people who would otherwise clean out the entire supply of everything available in one go) and not to earn J.J. currants, I will pay people the list price on the wall for resupplies.

The items currently being stocked at Glitchwidth's Pub:

ETA: people who want currants in exchange for resupplies should come find me when I'm in-game so we can do a trade. I'm usually on in the evenings EST and can put out a call to the Dreamwidth group chat. People who are okay with alternative payments (so far I've given everything from an emblem to various tinctures to seeds & food as repayment) can leave bulk supplies in a bag with my butler - I'll return the bag to your butler with one or more items. If you have specific things you're hoping for in repayment, leave a message with the bag with details.

Also, suppliers needed for basic supplies for making food/drinks, so if you're a relatively new player who does a lot of exploring, this is a great way to contribute:

I did, and thank you! Are you happy with the form of repayment, or would you prefer straight up currants in the future? Also, are you interested in being a regular/occasional resupplier for hooch, etc.? (By regular, I'm thinking 1-2 a week; by occasional, 1-2 a month.) Re: repayment, do you have the fancy versions of various tools? That's something I could acquire for you at auction and would be happy to do so since you're providing such massive batches of supplies. If you want stuff you supply to fall under the category of donations, I'll invest the eventual resulting currants back into Glitchwidth in the form of furniture/etc. acquired at auction.

I can provide hooch, allspice, bubbles, and cherries regularly, and I can provide basically all of the foodstuffs on a more limited basis. And I'll be learning Cocktail II soon so then I could provide drinks, though like food it would probably be on a more limited basis.

Oh, I will probably leave everything with your butler. I'm not worried about repayment -- I have more hooch, allspice, bubbles, and cherries than I know what to do with -- but if you have boards I would gladly take them. My backyard garden gave out and I said I'd rebuild it, not knowing what it would entail, and it calls for boards and using ... some kind of tool I don't know how to use yet. I'm planning on learning the skills needed so that I can do it myself (I am a self-sufficent glich!) but if you have boards lying around I wouldn't say no. Or if you know how to make boards I have a ton of planks I could give you for the raw materials! *g* Otherwise don't sweat payment. I'm not in this for becoming the richest Glitch in Ur.

Feel free to contact people who helped built Glitchwidth's original floors and/or are helping built the upper levels & tell them you are a supplier for the food/drink end of things - I know some of them have the ability to turn planks into boards, and I'm happy to subsidize skill swapping for people who are contributing to the project. :o)

Re: bringing supplies, please give a message with the butler if you want them to be considered donations - I'll invest the eventual resulting currants back into Glitchwidth and acquiring more furniture/decorations.

Update: I believe I can supply regularly (at least once a week) Hooch and all the food you list except the Tagines, haven't learned that one just yet. (Not the drinks, tho; I don't have Cocktail Crafting, and I *can* make the Earthshakers but I don't *like* doing it.) Just learned Awesome Stew, too. I'm hoping to make enough Paninis to learn the Expensive Grilled Cheese recipe, but when I do I'll have to get back to you about whether I can age that much cheese without killing myself.

BTW, on the basic ingredients, remember Grain. I have torn through so much of it making buns and noodles...

I'm not seeing them in the tower so I assume you've kept them for later or haven't had time to store them. I'm also keeping track for myself because I like making different things rather than a large batch of one thing.

Also, random thought as I was making more food today: I think we should also make low-level recipes so newbies/intermediate players can buy and cook too. As you level up it's easy to forget that 1) some dishes and drinks are useless to you because your energy/mood tank isn't big enough so you'd be wasting food, or that some of the perks drinks offer don't help you because you don't have the skills or tools associated with it (like mining, refining, smelting).
Also more variety = more IMGs. Of course, that requires more SDBs. :) I have two for you; I'll try to catch you in-game!

N.B. in addition to the general note - currently we have ~2-3 display boxes on the Pub floor reserved for $Wildcard items. If you subscribe to glitchwidth, we will be changing $Wildcard boxes every few days and will open up a poll for suggestions about twice a week - participating in such polls is the best way to ensure that $Wildcard food or drinks you supply go up for sale sooner rather than later.

And for lower-level players, something like Sloe Gin Fizzes or Creamy Martinis might be good.

Signing up for specifics: Hooch, Flaming Humbaba, and Pungent Sunrise would be easy to commit to. Earthshakers not so easy (I have to keep buying beer), but since I make those for myself, it's no hassle to make extras.
