One of my favourite things to do in Glitch is to explore the world - so I set myself the goal to explore everything before December 9. Every street and every hidden place.

I am almost there with "every street", only three more Completist badges to do (they added two more regions overnight - so not fair, I was almost there! :D) and I just got the "Globetroter Extraordninaire" badge for for visiting 1259 locations.

One last feat: Tottly's Toys.
Tottly toted all his toys from Tambra Tiss to Tamota Trill, for Tottly treasured all toys, and as much as they could, the toys loved Tottly too.

This feat begins in 2h 31m as I write this.

There is something more than a little farcical about attempting to become re-deceased in Glitch.

It's gotten to the point where I'm resorting to waiting for my mood to finish dropping and writing haiku in the meantime.

Anyone else having a really terrible lag time?

I haven't been actively playing Glitch for about a year, but I was walking around and trying to do stuff now that the game is ending.

Yesterday and today, though, every time I log in, I can't even get my avatar to walk across the screen in a controlled manner because everything keeps freezing, so then I just log out.
Are their servers overloaded with people like me coming back on??

Who are you people ? Really I want to know ...

Howdy and thanks for dropping by my little thread. I ,as of late, have been wondering just who is playing Glitch these days (yeah I do weird things like that :). The old primary demographic of stay at home moms and retired persons seems to be shifting. I meet people of all ages and walks of life in Glitch, it's got that universal appeal thing going for it. Don't get me wrong I love stay at home moms and retired folk I just wanna know who the heck is here so I would really appreciate it if you could tell me a little about yourself. No need to write your life story or anything, not that that wouldn't be interesting, but just a few things like your sex, general age, social status, and what you do to fill your days when you aren't playing Glitch. Hey who knows you might even be weird like me and find this interesting :) In the very least you get entered in a random drawing to win 10 cubimal boxes just for taking the time to help me out.

I'll get the ball rolling.

There is now Unlimited Teleportation. Also we've all been given 2500 credits to spend on clothes and houses etc!

A lot of people are giving things away at major streets, where the train stations are. I am giving all my stuff away, except for my extra furniture which I'm selling very cheaply at auction. If you need currants, let me know.

Friendly just announced that he wants more parties. Party packs are now heavily discounted, I think it was 1100 for a full party or 220 for a taster. (Sold at toy vendors.)

Shortly after that, Lem announced that skill learning was faster. I just checked and skills that were going to take me over three days now take 10-11 hours.

There is so much going on right now it's hard to keep track of everything new. Here's what I've heard of/seen so far:

If you have a quest or other goal you want to complete before Glitch closes, and you could use some help to do it, post here?

It seems a good way to enjoy the game before it ends, and to celebrate the way the game encourages players to help each other. I'm still fairly low level (18?) so can't do much, but am happy to help with whatever I can.

Apologies for being somewhat absent the last few days - offline life has been very busy. Keep an eye on the Dreamwidth group chat in-game later tonight (prob. ~9pm EST) for a call to resupply Pub floor of Glitchwidth.

In the meantime, if you are interested in more frequent updates about how Glitchwidth is progressing (recommended especially if you are involved in vending, donating, and/or helping build further floors), subscribe to the newly minted

zvi (also zvi in-game) is joining me as co-admin, and can and should be credited with the idea for starting a Dreamwidth-run Glitch restaurant in the first place. We will try to keep minor updates almost entirely under cut tags to keep Reading Page clutter to a minimum here on Dreamwidth proper.

Also, for those of you with building expertise, the tower project at my street has been started, and now needs walls & girders & all that good stuff. Keep track of roughly how much you donate to the project, and let me know when the tower's up - we'll work out an exchange of stuff you need/would like in return. (A bounty of hooch? Fancy stews? Essence of Yellow Crumb Flower? All this is available and more.) Once the tower's built, I'll put up a wishlist of basic furniture that I can upgrade to match the styles we decide on for various rooms.

Planning post for opening up a Dreamwidth restaurant in a tower @ jjhunter's street. Please comment if you are interested in participating in some way. (Potential needs include gathering basic resources, cooking, building the tower, building furniture, contributing ingredients for food/drinks, contributing ideas for design/layout, figuring out how to redistribute earnings fairly, etc.)

ETA: also, please keep track of roughly how much you donate to the tower building project - I'm planning some neat surprises. :o)
