Wiscon 2014: party?
We had what I thought was a fun (if sometimes somewhat disjointed) panel about Glitch at Wiscon last night. (Writeup separately forthcoming!) The idea I was left with, though, after we spent at least as long talking in the lobby afterwards: how about having a party?
Anyone else interested? If you have experience at hosting con parties, do you think it'll fly? Cooking and Cocktail Crafting anyone?
This, though, leads to the really important quesiton: WHICH PARTY PACK?

I think it'd fly. It'll be a long time since the game has been around by then, but I think the themes one would use at a party would be pretty Wiscon friendly and understandable to other party goers. Also, a fun theme and maybe a good way to help those of us who aren't super social enter the party ("come! make a thing!").
Lots of opportunities for neat drinks (including nonalcoholic ones; I always like to have something interesting for nondrinkers) and crafts/activities. Make an Emotional Bear? Decorate the party room with goofy paper trees and scenery during the party?
Can't think of Cookery items that would be easy to make during the party, but probably someone else can...
Also I will post panel notes soon; hopefully tomorrow. Tooooo tiiiiired. But I have gained lots of IMG from Wiscon.

Be sure to have some butterflies hanging around...and lots of little bottles of lotion. Perhaps mount some butterflies on milk jugs, or on a milk dispenser if you can actually lay hands on one.
Here: this will help plan food...

Milk is also a great Wisconsin item. We should come up with a story for Chocolate Butterfly Milk as well? And perhaps a Soybean Butterfly for vegans.

-Cheese plate or snack pack (probably some pretty great pickles can be acquired at the farmer's market!)
- hi sucrose corn syrup square (aka rice crispy treats. could be made gluten free!)
- raw bio-organic carob-ish treat (I'd make this a good vegan treat) and the various other candies
- Best Bean Dip
- Cheezy Sauce (it's Wisconsin, ok?)
Probably too complicated:
- Snow cones? Unless a local has a snow cone machine for some reason. These seem to be rentable but that's probably expensive and complicated.

Off to write up my take on the panel...
